Enhanced Support for Apprentices and their Employers!
From July 1, 2025, The Australian Government implemented an enhanced suite of Incentives for Australian Apprentices and their Employers.
Central to these changes was the introduction of the Key Apprenticeships Program, aimed ...at increasing the financial incentive for apprentices working in the both the New Energy and Residential Housing sectors, apprentices will now receive up to $10,000 across the term of their apprenticeship. These changes will help prepare Australia to meet the current and future demands for Clean Energy production and the housing needs across the country.
On the topic of housing, apprentices who have had to move from their parental home to commence or complete their apprenticeships will now be able to apply for increased Living Away From Home Allowance payments, up to $120 a week.
A well, employers of Apprentices with Disability are also in for a financial incentive increase, the Disability Australian Apprentice Wage Support has also received considerable funding increase, meaning employers could receive up to $11,235 per annum for the duration of their apprentice’s apprenticeship journey.
